Film critics awards announced

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum directed by Dileesh Pothen has bagged all the top awards in the 41st Kerala Film Critics Association awards announced here on Friday.

While the film bagged awards for the best film, Fahad Faasil secured the award for the award for the best actor in a male role and Sajeev Pazhoor that for the best screenplay. The awards were announced by Association president George Onakkur and general secretary Thekkinkad Joseph at a news conference here.

Manju Warrier was adjudged best actor in a female role for her performance in the films Udaharanam Sujatha and C/O Saira Bhanu .

Jayaraj was chosen for the best director award and Nikhil. S Praveen that for the best cinematographer, both for the film Bhayanakam .

V.C Abhilash’s Aalorukkam won the second best film award. Tovino Thomas for his films Mayanadhi and Tharangam , and Aiswarya Lakshmi for Mayanadhi were adjudged second best actor awards in male and female categories respectively. Master Alok and Baby Meenakshi shared awards for their performances in films Clint and Sadrishyavaakyam in the best child artist category.

Mr. Onakkur and Mr. Joseph said actor Indrans would be felicitated with Ruby Jubilee Award and music director M.K. Arjunan with Chalachitratnam Award. The awards would be presented to the winners at a function held in Ernakulam during September.
