The northward-bound Cannanore Express (train number 16305) was delayed by nearly one-and-a-half hours on Wednesday morning, as the last bogey got derailed while it was being readied for journey at the Marshalling Yard.

Two wheels slipped out of the rails causing the mishap. The train was originally scheduled to leave Ernakulam South railway station by 6.40 a.m.

The bogey was put back on rail using hydraulic lift and continued the trip, said official sources.
