March 26, 2013 03:06 am | Updated 03:06 am IST - KASARAGOD:

The Endosulfan Peedhitha Janakeeya Munnani has decided to withdraw temporarily the indefinite hunger strike spearheaded by it for the past 36 days after the second round of high-level talks held with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

A decision to this effect was made by forum convener Ambalathara Kunhikrishnan here on Monday night, hours after the talks held in Thiruvananthapuram concluded.

“We are quite satisfied with the promise given by the Chief Minister and expect that the authorities concerned will take due care to fulfil his words in a time-bound manner,” he told presspersons here.
