Kerala final turnout put at 77.35%

Kozhikode recorded the highest turnout at 81.89% and Pathnamthitta the lowest of 71.66%.

As much as 77.35 per cent of the electorate in Kerala exercised their franchise in the elections to the 140-member Legislative Assembly on Monday.

As per the final figures released by the Election Commission of India, the highest turnout of 81.89 per cent among the 14 districts is in Kozhikode. Kannur is in the second spot with 80.63 per cent.

The lowest turnout of 71.66 per cent is in Pathanamthitta district. Idukki district has registered a polling of 73.59 per cent. Thiruvananthapuram, the capital district, has recorded polling of 75.53 per cent.

Kasaragod has recorded 78.51 per cent, Wayanad 78.22 per cent, Malappuram 75.83 per cent, Palakkad 78.37 per cent, Thrissur 77.47 per cent, Ernakulam 79.77 per cent, Kottayam 76.90 per cent, Alappuzha 79.88 per cent and Kollam 75.07 per cent voting.
