DYFI workers attacked

Three DYFI activists were hacked near Pandanad at Chengannur on Sunday.

The injured were identified as DYFI Muriyayikkara unit secretary Rajesh, 29, his relative Bijesh, 27 and Sujith, 29. The injured were admitted to the taluk hospital, Chengannur.

They were attacked at the house of Rajesh at 3 p.m. Sources said Bijesh and Sujith recently joined the DYFI from the Bharath Dharma Jana Sena. The police said a case had been registered, but no arrests had been made.
