Dileep says State Police Chief Loknath Behera and ADGP B. Sandhya wrongfully implicated him.

Actor Dileep, accused in a case relating to the abduction and sexual assault on a female actor, has written to the Home Secretary seeking a inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case.

In a 12-page letter despatched on October 18, the actor accuses State Police Chief Loknath Behera and Additional Director General of Police B. Sandhya of wrongfully implicating him in the case. Dileep has demanded replacing the investigation team. He demands that either the officers currently probing the case be replaced by other honest officers to hold a fresh probe or a CBI inquiry be ordered in the case.

The actor alleges that he was implicated in the case on the basis of fabricated evidence.

Informed on April 10

He says that he had informed the State Police Chief as early as April 10 about the threatening calls received by his close friend and filmmaker Nadirsha from the cohorts of Sunil Kumar, aka ‘Pulsar’ Suni. This was followed by a formal petition filed personally with the State Police Chief, says Dileep, who was arrested and let out on bail after 85 days in custody.

The audio clippings of the threatening calls received were submitted. However, the police have refused to look into his complaint till now, he says. Dileep has repeated his claim that he does not know Suni.

Dileep was arrested on July 10. The Kerala High Court on October 3 granted him bail with stringent conditions. Six persons, including Suni, were arrested in connection with the actor abduction case.

The actor, who has worked in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and allegedly molested inside her car for two hours by the accused, who had forced their way into the vehicle on February 17 night.
