The State police will produce Devinder Singh, alias Bunty Chor, who they arrested from Pune on Saturday in connection with the break-in at the house of a businessman in the city on January 21, before a Magistrate court here on Tuesday.
On the basis of his statement, the investigation team led by Assistant Commissioner K.E. Baiju recovered a car the suspect was believed to have stolen from Bangalore.
The police said Devinder had abandoned the car near a hotel in the city and stole another one of the same make from Nanthancode. He then switched the number plates of the car with that of the one stolen from Bangalore.
