Darul Huda to celebrate silver jubilee in April

The silver jubilee celebrations of the Darul Huda Islamic University at Chemmad in the district will begin on April 15 next year. The inaugural function will continue for three days, and the celebrations will last for six months.

Cherusseri Zainuddin Musliar, general secretary of the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, launched the website of the silver jubilee convocation at a function held on the Darul Huda campus on Sunday. Darul Huda, a prominent Islamic institution under the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, has chalked out a wide variety of programmes as part of the silver jubilee celebrations.

Affiliated to the Federation of Islamic Universities, Cairo, Egypt, Darul Huda was upgraded to a university last year. Sayed Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal, supreme head of the Darul Huda Islamic University, presided over a meeting held to plan the events.
