Cycle marathon held on Sabarimala road

The 90-km cycle marathon (cyclothon) was held on the Perinad-Pampa-Perinad stretch of the main trunk road leading to Sabarimala on Sunday.

Ramesh Nagarajan of Chennai won the first prize, a Fuji Road Bike, by finishing the cyclothon in two hours and 58 minutes. Gokul V.R. from Chennai stood second winning a Fuji Hybrid Bike and Anees from Cherthala finished third to win a Fuji MTB Bike. District Collector S. Harikishore, who flagged off the cycle marathon, participated in it along with Superintendent of Police A. Srinivas. The event was organised by the Australia-based AICA Group in association with the Fuji Bikes, and the travel company Santos King.

The Department of Tourism, District Tourism Promotion Council, and the Kerala Adventure Promotion Society were associated with the event.
