Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) vice president M.M. Hassan on Saturday accused the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI-M] of adopting double standards in its stance on corruption involving political leaders.
Mr. Hassan said here that the CPI(M) had given a clean chit to its central committee member Elamaram Karim in the Malabar Cements Ltd. (MCL) corruption case while levelling baseless allegations against the UDF government. He came down heavily on the CPI(M) for including Kerala Congress (B) leaders Balakrishna Pillai and K.B. Ganesh Kumar in one of its campaigns.
