CPI party congress in Kollam

Communist Party of India State unit secretary Kanam Rajendran has said that the 23rd party congress of the party will be held in Kollam from April 25 to 29.

He said here on Tuesday that though Kollam was a stronghold of the CPI it was the first time that the party congress was being held here. Representing 6,29,101 party members, more than 750 delegates would participate.

The State conference of the party will be held in Malappuram from March 1 to 4. The reception committee for the party congress will be constituted on October 20 at a meeting to be held at the C. Keshavan Memorial Town Hall here, Mr. Rajendran said. Party general secretary S. Sudhakar Reddy will attend.
