The Kerala High Court on Thursday quashed the criminal proceedings initiated by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Thiruvananthapuram, on a complaint filed by estranged wife of former forest Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar and a counter-complaint by the former Minister himself.

Justice C.T. Ravikumar passed the judgment while allowing a petition filed by Mr. Ganesh Kumar seeking to quash the proceedings in view of the out-of-court settlement reached between him and his estranged wife Yamini Thankachi. Counsel for Yamani Thankachi also supported his plea.
