The Narendra Modi government move to corporatise major sectors will plunge the country into a deep crisis, Revolutionary Youth Front (RYF) general secretary Saleem P. Chacko has said. Mr. Chacko was inaugurating a dharna organised by RYF workers, as part of the nation-wide agitation against the Modi government, in front of the Head Post Office here on Tuesday.

The government had been remaining a mute spectator of the hike in fuel prices by oil companies, despite the sharp fall in crude oil price in the international market, he said.

Trade union workers across the country had been protesting against the anti-labour policy of the Modi government, he said. C. Sreeraj, RYF State committee member, presided.
