A ration outlet in the Nullypaddy locality here was raided on Tuesday after rice stock was found mixed with cement and dust particles.

The matter came to light after a customer informed the authorities of the presence of stale rice in the shop.

A team of officials, led by Kasaragod taluk supply officer P.B. Venugopal, inspected the rice stock and took it into custody. The rice was supplied from the Food Corporation of India, the ration shop dealer said.
