Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Nirmal Verma visited the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala on a two-day tour that concluded on Friday.

On his maiden visit to the INA after having taken over as the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Verma was received by Vice Admiral Anurag G. Thapliyal, Commandant of the INA.

During his stay at Ezhimala, Chief of the Naval Staff was briefed on the training being conducted at the INA and also the various facilities created for training of officer trainee of the Indian Navy.

Later, the Chief of the Naval Staff was taken on a tour of the academy and familiarised with the various training, sports and administrative facilities at the INA.

Admiral Verma took over as the Chief of the Naval Staff on August 31.
