If the Left Democratic Front suggests a just proposal acceptable to the people of the State for resolving the crisis in the Assembly in the backdrop of the shameful incidents there on March 13, the government is ready to accept it, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said on Friday.

Public meeting

The Chief Minister was inaugurating a public meeting at the private bus stand here in the evening.

Talking to reporters later, Mr. Chandy said the controversial remarks made by Kozhikode District Congress Committee president K.C. Abu did not befit the culture of the Indian National Congress.

UDF workers should not react to any socio-political issue in such a manner, he said.

P. Mohanraj, DCC president, presided over the function.

Adoor Prakash, Revenue Minister, K.Sivadasan Nair, MLA, K.E. Abdul Rahman, Indian Union Muslim League district president, Anto Antony, MP, Malethu Saraladevi, former MLA, R.Haridas Edathitta, district panchayat president, A.Sureshkumar, municipal chairman, and Pazhakulam Madhu, district panchayat education standing committee chairman, spoke.
