Chandy to tour Kannur tomorrow

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will visit different parts of the district on April 18 to address the election meetings of United Democratic Front (UDF) candidates.

District UDF chairman A.D. Musthafa said at a press conference here on Saturday that the Chief Minister will first address the campaign function at Payyannur at 9:30 a.m. on Monday. He will then speak at Pilathara (Kalliassery constituency), Navaneetham Auditorium (Kannur), Puthiyatheru (Azhikode), Kailas Auditorium at Mattannur, Iritty (Peravur), Marolighat (Koothuparamba) and Mambaram (Dharmadam) before concluding his whirlwind election tour at Thalassery at 8 p.m.

May consider legal recourse

Mr. Musthafa said the UDF will consider legal recourse to book polling officials who collude with people engaged in bogus voting.
