Chandy seeks speedy investigation into Manipal rape

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has called upon Karnataka Home Minister K.J. George to ensure a speedy investigation into the rape of a Malayali student at Kasturba Medical College at Manipal in Karnataka.

He said on Saturday that the incident was a shock to the people of Kerala. Urgent measures were needed to address the concern of students from Kerala studying outside the State and their parents, he said.
