The Kerala High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by Sajan T. Koshy seeking anticipatory bail in a case registered in connection with the posting morphed pictures showing Chief Minister Oommen Chandy along with solar scam accused Saritha Nair, on Sajan’s facebook page.

The order was passed by Justice Thoms P. Joseph.

According to the Thiruvananthapuram police, the petitioner had posted the pictures with an intention to tarnish the image of the Chief Minister.

The petitioner had been charged with offences under section 66 of the Information Technology Act. The prosecution submitted that questioning of the accused was necessary. Besides, more digital and other documentary evidence had to be collected in the presence of the accused.

Even the mobile phone of the petitioner through which he had uploaded the pictures had to be seized.
