Chief Minister Oommen Chandy reiterated here Monday night that none would be allowed to take the law into their hands over the Mullaperiyar issue.
Talking to the media after a special meeting of the Cabinet convened to discuss the Mullaperiyar issue, the Chief Minister said that strong action would be taken against those breaking the law.
Prohibitory orders had been declared at Kumily and Kambamettu.
The Chief Minister said that the Cabinet had discussed the submissions made by Advocate General K.P. Dandapani on Mullaperiyar issue before the High Court, and had deferred further discussions to Wednesday when it would hear the explanation of the Advocate General.
He said that Kerala was united on its demands as well as the means to achieve its demands.
The all-party meeting, convened to discuss the issue would be held here at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
