The Union government is ‘having second thoughts on Haj subsidy,' External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna told reporters here on Monday.

A large number of Muslim organisations had approached the Centre for “abolishing the subsidy component” of Haj pilgrimage. Haj reforms were taking place and an evaluation of the subsidy was also on. It would also form part of the Haj reforms, he said.
