The inaugural session of the 21st State conference of the CPI(M) was attended by prominent personalities, representing various fields, including cinema, art, and literature.
Popular actor and parliamentarian Innocent was received with loud cheers by the crowd that gathered outside the venue. Representing the field of cinema alongside him were Mukesh, K.R. Mohanan, Lenin Rajendran, Aashiq Abu, Renji Panicker, Prathap Pothen, Prem Kumar, B. Unnikrishnan, Cheriyan Kalpakavadi, V.K. Sreeraman, P. Sreekumar, P.T. Kunju Muhammed, Anil V. Nagendran, Priyanandan, Rajeev Alunkal, and Sherry Taliparamba.
The political spectrum from outside the CPI(M) was represented by Joice George, MP; K.T. Jaleel and M.V. Shreyamskumar, MLA. The special invitees included writers T. Padmanabhan, M.K. Sanoo, and Vaisakhan, poets Balachandran Chullikkad and Ezhacheri Ramachandran, media critic Sebastian Paul, and historian K.K.N. Kurup.
The next of kin of a few late party stalwarts were also present. E.M.S. Namboodiripad’s daughter E.M. Radha, A.K. Gopalan’s daughter, Laila Karunakaran, and P.K. Chandranandan’s wife, Bhadra, attended the inaugural session. Others who were invited included Cheriyan Philip, J. Prasad, Pavithran Teekkuni, Peelipose Thomas, Basurendra Babu, Purushan Kadalundi, MLA, P.K. Medini, V.T. Murali, C.J. Kuttappan, Neena Prasad, Suja Susan George, K.N. Harilal, P.S. Sreekala, P.
