KOCHI: The results of Class X and XII examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education will not be delayed, said Indira Rajan, general secretary of Kerala CBSE School Management Association.

Reacting to concerns being expressed by parents over the possible delay in the publication of results, Ms. Indira Rajan said that the entire examination process was completed by April 10 this year in view of the Assembly elections held in five States.

“Naturally, CBSE board examination, which is a national phenomena applicable to all the States uniformly, had to spill over to April. The delay in completion of the examination will in no way affect the timely announcement of results,” she said.

Ms. Indira Rajan pointed out that CBSE has been publishing the result towards the end of May for both Class X and XII every year. All measures are being taken by the board to ensure result announcement for both these classes.

However, the board has been taking strenuous efforts to publish the results at national level uniformly at the earliest, which cannot be based on different State level board results. As far as the methodology of evaluation and arriving the results are concerned, CBSE board is highly transparent and systematic in the evaluation process where no grace mark, moderation and free marks are given. Such foolproof system naturally involves systematic evaluation and thorough verification to avoid all sort of loopholes thereby ensuring maximum credibility to the system, she said
