As part of a series of deliberations with stakeholders to facilitate the smooth implementation of the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) for undergraduate courses, the Mahatma Gandhi University on Thursday held a meeting with the managers of various colleges.

At the meeting held at the School of Environmental Sciences here, Vice-Chancellor Rajan Gurukkal said that the new allotment system would enable the colleges to optimise the intake to many of their less sought-after courses while enhancing institutional ranking and viability.

CAP would also enhance the reach and the visibility of institutions among the student community. The university is also taking the lead in projecting the colleges and courses among the aspirants by way of the Centralised Allotment Process, he said.

He also promised to resolve the apprehensions of stakeholders through further deliberations.

University Pro Vice-Chancellor Rajan Varughese presided over the function. Syndicate members V.N. Chandra Mohanan, P. Rajasekharan Pillai, R. Pregash, R. Sasikumar, K. Radhakrishnan Nair, P.A. Fathima, Registrar M.R. Unni and Public Relations Officer G. Sreekumar spoke on the occasion.
