Call to probe Aranmula land deals

March 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

The government should initiate a serious probe into the purchase of land by the controversial Chennai-based KGS company from Abraham Kalamannil of the Mount Zion Group at Kozhencherry without even complying with the mandatory mutation of the said land, Aranmula Heritage Village Action Council chief patron Kummanam Rajashekharan has said.

In a statement here on Friday, he said the mutation of the said land in the name of the KGS company was equally suspicious.

The inaction on the part of the authorities concerned towards repeated pleas for a just probe into the issue was enough proof of the huge corruption and violation of laws involved, he said.

Mr. Rajashekharan said the district administration had been delaying all proceedings on the controversial land transactions, disregarding the court directions and the Land Revenue Commissioner’s order.
