Cabinet clears list of 17 district judges

The Cabinet has approved a list of 17 judicial officers to be posted as district judges.

They are: B. Kalam Pasha, P.S. Antony, B. Vijayan, P. Ragini, C. Sounderesh, S. Indukala, M. Nandakumar, V. Prakash, E. Baiju, V.K. Rajan, V. Dileep, S. Suresh Kumar, T.K. Ramesh Kumar, K.A. Rajmohan, P.K. Aravind Babu, K. Sathyan and S. Jayakumar. The postings will become effective after ratification by the Governor.

Mr. Kalam Pasha, Mr. Antony, Mr. Vijayan, Ms. Ragini, Mr. Sounderesh, and Ms. Indukala are presently performing the duties of chief judicial magistrates in Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta respectively.

Mr. Nandakumar, Mr. Prakash, Mr. Baiju, Mr. Rajan and Mr. Dileep are presently working as chief judicial magistrates in Thodupuzha, Palakkad, Thalasserry, Kozhikode, and Manjeri respectively. Mr. Suresh Kumar, Mr. Ramesh Kumar and Mr. Rajmohan too are working as chief judicial magistrates—in Kalpetta, Kotayam and Kasargode respectively.

Mr. Aravind Babu is now working as principal sub judge in Ernakulam. Mr. Sathyan is presently deputy director of the Judicial Academy in Ernakulam and Mr. Jayakumar is now acting as sub judge in Hosdurg.
