BJP worker killed in bomb explosion

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was killed in a bomb explosion in a house at Kottayampoyil, near Koothuparamba, here on Saturday evening.

The police identified the deceased as Deeshith (23), son of a local BJP worker. The police said that the incident occurred at 7.30 p.m. The house was damaged in the blast. The police suspect that the explosion took place while making crude bombs. The injured have been rushed to hospital at Thalassery where he was declared brought dead.
