‘BJP govt. committed to serving poor’

Union Minister for Environment and Forest Prakash Javadekar has said that the Narendra Modi-led government is committed to serving the poor and farmers in the country.

Addressing a public function organised by the BJP here on Wednesday, to mark the first anniversary of the Narendra Modi government, he said that the government would fulfill the aspirations of the people in the country.

Referring to various welfare and pension schemes launched by the government he said that the unsecured would be secured.

The BJP-led government would last its five-year term and would be elected to power for another five years, he said.

Mr. Javadekar said that the Central government’s mantra was to create jobs by launching infrastructure projects, skill development and Make in India initiatives.

The government would give houses to four crore people in rural areas and two crore people in urban areas, he stated.

BJP district president K. Ranjith presided. Former BJP State presidents C.K. Padmanabhan and P.K. Krishnadas and party leader K. Surendran were also present.
