Bhardwaj is acting Kerala Governor

H.R. Bhardwaj was sworn in acting Governor on Saturday.

Mr. Bhardwaj took the oath before Chief Justice Manjula Chellur at a function at the Raj Bhavan here.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Speaker G. Karthikeyan, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala, Chief Secretary E.K. Bharat Bhushan, District Collector Biju Prabhakar, and State Police Chief K.S.Balasubramanian were among those present.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will assume office as Governor on Tuesday. Ms. Dikshit will reach the State capital at 4.45 p.m. on Monday. She will be sworn in at a function to be held at the Raj Bhavan at 12 noon on Tuesday.
