SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has said the Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) should sever ties with the National Democratic Alliance and join the Left Democratic Front.

He said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had failed to honour the promises it had given to the BDJS. He said the BJP had gained from the support of the BDJS during the elections to local self-government and the Assembly. The BJP leadership had betrayed the BDJS. He also alleged that the BJP was steeped in corruption and groupism was plaguing the party.

But BDJS chairman Thushar Vellappally said the party did not discuss the issue of any change in alliance. Mr.Natesan was no spokesperson of the BDJS, he added.
