BDJS loser in ties with BJP: Vellappally

Sree Nararyana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has said that the Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) is the loser in the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He was talking to mediapersons at Cherthala on Saturday in the context of a Yogam council meeting.

Weak entity

He said the BJP State unit should have pressurised the national leadership for honouring the promises made to the BDJS.

The State leadership could not do so because it was a weak entity. As differences had already surfaced, it would be better for the BJP to resolve the issue soon.

Not a loss: Thushar

BDJS leader Thushar Vellappally, who met mediapersons at the same venue later, said the current issues could be resolved through talks. The opinion aired by Mr. Natesan was that of the SNDP Yogam and not of the BDJS, he said.

A PTI report quoted Mr. Vellappally as saying that he would attend an NDA meeting called on the sidelines of the BJP’s national council in Kozhikode on Sunday.
