The award for the best cooperator, instituted by Keezhthadiyoor Service Cooperative Bank, has gone to C.N. Balakrishnan, Minister for Cooperation. The award carries a purse of Rs.25,000.

Jaison Puthenkandathil, president of Kadanad Service Cooperative Bank, has been selected for the best cooperator in Meenachil thaluk. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will present the awards on September 3 at a function scheduled at Pala.
