Assembly to meet from December 20

The Kerala Assembly will meet for two weeks from December 20 mainly for enactment of legislation.

Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan told the media after a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday that the Cabinet had recommended to the Governor the convening of the Assembly from December 20.

It would sit through the weekdays excluding a recess for Christmas.

The session is likely to end on December 30.

Businesses before the House include replacement of several Ordinances and consideration of new and urgent legislation.
