Apple A Day Promoters surrender

Directors of the controversial Apple A Day Properties Ltd. who were on the run for nearly month, have surrendered before the Kanjirappally First Class Judicial Magistrate Court which functions at Ponkunnam, on Saturday.

Managing director K A Saju and director C Rajiv, accompanied by their advocate, arrived at the Court by 12:30 pm. They have been remanded for 14 days and taken to Ponkunnam sub jail.

Both had moved anticipatory bails before the Ernakulam Sessions Court early this month, but were dismissed. The police had issued a look out notice for the two for whom the Special Investigation Team had searched for in cities including Bengaluru and Chennai. Even as the police were searching for them, the two had managed to appear for an interview in a Malayalam news channel.

Apple A Day properties had 10 projects and on complaints from clients, the police had filed 67 criminal cases against the two.
