Anti-Endosulfan day to be observed on April 25

The organising committee meeting of the Anti-Endosulfan Day being observed at Fort Maidan on April 25, has decided to ensure the participation of all voluntary organisations that will fight for banning the use of harmful pesticides like Endosulfan.

The meeting held at Collectorate Conference Hall here on Saturday was attended by M.B. Rajesh, M.P, District Panchayat President T.N. Khandamuthan, Additional District Magistrate A. Shihab, President of District Co-operative Bank K.V. Ramakrishnan among others.

The anti-Endosulfan day pledge will be read out by Electricity Minister A.K. Balan at Fort Maidan on Monday. It will be attended by MPs, MLAs, other people’s representatives, farmers, environmental organisations among others.
