Another pilgrim dies of heart attack

A 42-year old pilgrim, identified as Lakshmanan of Kunnathukara at Pookkattupady near Aluva died of heart attack at the Cardiology Centre at Appachimedu on the Pampa-Sannidhanam trekking path on Saturday. According to Mr. Thanchavur Damodaran, captain of the Ayyappa Seva Sanghom stretcher unit, the deceased had suffered severe chest pain while climbing the steep Appachimedu hill and the Sanghom volunteers rushed him to the Cardiology Centre where he breathed his last, later. The body was taken to Aluva, later.
