Air Chief Marshal arrives on 2-day visit

Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of the Air Staff, arrived here on a two-day visit on Thursday.

Lily Raha, his wife and president of the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA), accompanied him.

The CAS during his interaction with the command staff and commanders conveyed the various challenges to be faced by the Indian Air Force in the coming years while undergoing capability building with modernisation and new acquisitions. He laid stress on the initiative taken by the Air Headquarters towards improvement of operational capability of the IAF. While complimenting the air warriors of the SAC on their diligence, he exhorted the personnel to be good professionals and operationalise the new equipment in a systematic manner. He also laid stress on preserving the expensive assets of the IAF, both equipment and human.
