Administrative nod for hostel blocks

Joice George, MP, on Tuesday said that administrative sanction for ₹102 crore had been received for the the construction of hostel buildings of the Idukki Medical College at Cheruthoni.

The residential complex will be built on a 2,25,000-sq km area. The hostel complex will include those for girls and boys students, teachers and non-teaching staff, and those for doing the internship programmes. The construction work of the medical college complex, started in the first phase, and the academic block, started in the second phase, was continuing, he said.

The administrative sanction for the residential complex is the third phase of the work.
