A police team headed by A. Hemachandran, Additional Director General of Police, questioned Shalu Menon, actor, and her mother, Kala Venugopal, in connection with the solar scam on Saturday evening. The interrogation, held at the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Thiruvalla, lasted about three hours.
The police team had reportedly questioned the two separately. The other members of the team were V. Ajith and Reji Jacob, both DySPs.
“I told the police whatever I had to say on the matter,” the actor told reporters outside the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Allegations
There were allegations that she was involved in the scam as she was a friend of the prime accused, Biju Radhakrishnan.
Ms. Menon runs a dance school in Thiruvalla.
