Actor Dileep filed for divorce from his wife and actor Manju Warrier before the Ernakulam family court here on Thursday.
The petition comes after much public speculation regarding the actor’s separation from his wife.
Mr. Dileep also filed another petition requesting the court to hold the trial in- camera and restrain the media from publishing the contents of the divorce petition.
“The court passed an interim injunction restraining the media from publishing the details of the original petition. The court will decide on the request for holding an in-camera trial after hearing the other side,” advocate Philip T. Varghese, who is representing Mr. Dileep, said.
The actor also filed caveats before the Ernakulam and the Thrissur family courts requesting that he may also be heard in case Ms. Warrier filed petitions in the matter before either court.
