Four accused in businessman Paul Muthoot George murder case on Monday moved the Kerala High Court seeking bail, after a sessions court dismissed their plea.

The accused -- Sunil, Aneesh Kumar, Binoy Markose and Jain Jose -- submitted that they were in judicial custody since August 23.

Justice K T Shankaran, before whom applications came up, sought the government’s stand on the matter by October 12.

Earlier, the Alapuzha sessions court had dismissed their bail pleas.

George, who was murdered by a gang at a deserted place near Alapuzha on August 22, was the Executive Director of the Kerala-based Muthoot M George group which has interests in several areas including financing and hospitality industry.
