Accident victims laid to rest

The five persons from Thankamani who were killed at Devadanapatti in Tamil Nadu on Monday were laid to rest on Tuesday. The body of one of the victims, Mullanickal Baby, will be buried on Wednesday after the arrival of his son, who is working abroad. Six persons had died when their van met with an accident while returning from a pilgrimage to Velankanni. Those killed were Vettukattil Ajeesh, Padalamkunnel Moncy, Ottalankal Shine, Kariparambil Binu, Elamthuruthel Justin, and Mullanickal Baby. After an autopsy at Government Medical College, Theni, the bodies were brought to Thankamani by 3.30 a.m. After being kept at Cooperative Hospital, Thankamani, they were placed for the public to pay homage at 8 a.m. and later released to the relatives.— A Correspondent
