AAP wants Kerala to look into the delay in shifting of school

November 22, 2014 10:50 am | Updated 10:50 am IST - Tirupur:

Aam Aadmi Party has submitted a petition to the State Government seeking its intervention to look into the delay in shifting the Rotary Club School functioning on Jaiva Bhai Corporation Girls Higher Secondary school premises, here, despite the Supreme Court order.

“It seems officials concerned are subverting the Court as almost four months have now gone since the apex court dismissed the Special Leave Petition filed by Rotary Club School seeking relief from a Madras High Court order asking the shifting of Rotary school functioning in the Corporation school campus without any permission from Government,” AAP district coordinator S. Sundarapandian said. He also accused Rotary Club of Tirupur, which runs the private school, of adopting tactics to delay to move away from the Jaiva Bhai school campus. “Sometime ago they announced the bhumi pooja for the new school. But till now construction has not commenced," he said. When contacted, Rotary Club president K. Vaidyanathan said that they would start the construction soon. But, he could not mention any specific time.
