It was a historical moment for Kerala Police. An all-women motorbike squad escorted Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to the Kerala Police Academy on Friday.

Six policewomen from Kannur and Kasaragod district were given special training at the police academy for pilot duty.

Sumi of the Adhoor police station and Lisha, Reshma, Shina, Asha, and Ramya of Chantoredu police stations were the members of the pilot bike team.

They are escorting the Chief Minister and the DGP now and will escort other VVIPs soon. — Staff Reporter
