NAAC accreditation for MACFAST

The Mar Athanasios College For Advanced Studies Thiruvalla (MACFAST) has been given an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

According to college principal Pradeep Vazhatharamalayil, the ‘A’ grade has been awarded to the institution in recognition of its excellence in the curricular as well as co-curricular activities, innovative approaches in research and development, infrastructure facility and its social commitment.

Fr. Vazhatharamalayil said MACFAST was a recognised Bioscience Research Centre of Mahatma Gandhi University and it houses the State’s first campus-based community radio station. The college has also received the United Nations award for women empowerment.

Educationist, K.R. Sukumaran Nair, was the NAAC coordinator of MACFAST, he said.
