Revenue officials demolishing a wall near the entrance of the law academy in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.

The Revenue Department on Sunday demolished the illegal constructions of the Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA) at Peroorkada here.

With the college management failing to abide by an order to remove constructions on the ‘puramboke’ road within the stipulated time, Revenue officials demolished the main entrance using an excavator. The pillars and wall were razed by a team led by Thiruvananthapuram tahsilar K.R. Manikantan. A security cabin on government property was also removed.

The Revenue Department had issued a notice on Friday to remove encroachments made on the government road that led to the pumping station of the Kerala Water Authority.
