‘The Universe', a 50-minute 3D stereoscopy documentary directed by Sathish Gopal of Balussery, was released at a function held here on Saturday.

An alumnus of AAT-SAE Media Education College affiliated to the Dibrugarh University, Mr. Sathish produced the documentary after a year-long research in the field.

The documentary that was released by Ram Kumar, faculty member of AAT-SAE, gives fresh insights on different aspects of cosmology, planets, comets, asteroids, meteors, eclipses and space explorations.

“The film is designed mainly to entertain students, researchers and people interested in watching the celestial wonders in 3D effect,” Mr. Sathish says. Unlike the other 3D films, the documentary, which is made available in CD format, can be viewed on computer and television, he adds.

North Kerala head of AAT-SAE Sukumaran Nair and Area Manager Sreejith were also present at the function.
