2,836 Endosulfan victims identified

Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan has said that as many as 2,836 Endosulfan victims have been identified in 11 panchayats in Kasaragod district.

Replying to a submission by K. Kunhiraman (CPI-M) in the Assembly on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said the government was providing all possible assistance to the victims and their families, including a monthly pension, under its special package. He offered to consider any additional application for assistance if Endosulfan victims were identified in the other panchayats in the district.
