175th birth anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna

The 175th birth anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna will be celebrated at the Sri Ramakrishna Ashram at Thukalassery near Thiruvalla on Tuesday.

According to the Ashram president, Swami Golokananda, the celebrations will begin with Vedic chanting at 5 a.m. followed by special rituals and chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama.

Religious discourse by Dr. Rama Narayanan and Swami Golokananda will be held, later at 10 a.m.

A devotional music concert by Dr. Harindran and party will be another attraction of the birth anniversary celebrations. The celebrations will conclude with Bhajan and Arati, later by 12.30 p.m.
