155 rescued by Navy, Coast Guard

Over the last two days, the Navy has rescued 84 fishermen from the turbulent seas off Kerala while the Coast Guard saved 71 lives.

The Navy also recovered two bodies, which were handed over to the civil administration in Thiruvananthapuram.

Coast Guard ship Samar was instrumental in the rescue of five Tamil Nadu fishermen, who were dropped off at Vizhinjam. A Coast Guard helicopter winched up a lone survivor north of Ernakulam.
